New display cupboard/bookcase

Last night on facebook, I told how I bought these beautiful shelves. They are not currently for sale, because I love to have so much room to display things, and they show so nicely on these gorgeous shelves.

These shelves hold so much. Assorted goodies. A few have been in the store, but most are new additions!

Large wooden sifter and a rusty large coffee pot decorated with decals. Cool look! Wooden sifter is SOLD! Coffee pot is SOLD!

Hand painted box

Hand painted by Barbara Adams, with beautiful vegetables. Just lovely detailing. Long enough to hold candles. Measures 18 inches long by 5 inches and stands 4-1/2 inches tall.

Bottom shelf!

Bottom shelf is tall enough to display sap buckets. Usually they are relegated to the porch! Sap buckets are sold!

Bookcase from salvaged materials

Made by Phil LaPlante using all salvaged materials. I just am in love with the bright and happy vibrant colors! Glad he was willing to part with it! Measures 48 inches wide by 11-1/2 inches deep and stands 43-1/2 inches tall. SOLD!

The Fromage~

Wonderful wall decoration. Lid to large wooden cheese box, with fantastic patina on wooden handle in center. The Fromage! SOLD!

Framed tin ceiling tile

Nice rustic, chippy frame adds to the architectural appeal on this framed tin ceiling tile. Measures 14-3/4 by 14-3/4. SOLD!

Calling all sign makers!

Some wonderful salvaged pieces from dressers or mirrors, etc. These would make great signs. The average measurement is 42 inches across by 6 inches high. One has a really cool metal decoration in ONE corner only. Wish it had both! All SOLD!

Canvas tool bag

For an electrician, to carry tools. I think it would look so cute with plants planted in it, especially with some hanging ivy! Two reinforced holes on back for hanging. Bottom is also predrilled for drainage! Measures approx. 14 by 7 by 9 inches tall at back. SOLD!

My favorite find this week!

Purina poultry feeding tube. The back has a chart that tells how many turkeys, ducks, or chickens the tube will feed. Well rusted piece! Love the red and white checkerboard on the tube. Galvanized feeding ring at bottom. There is no bottom as the feed must have poured directly out from bottom. This has an 8-1/2 inch diameter and stands 27 inches tall. I'm very tempted to keep this one as I love old chicken stuff so much! SOLD!

Pine mantel

Great pine mantel, not too heavy, makes a great display. This has a faux brick (made of wood) insert which is not attached, so if you don't want to use it, you don't have to. If you do want to use it, then it will screw into the back of the fireplace. Mantel measures 53-1/2 inches wide at widest part, by 11-1/2 inches front to back and stands 4 feet tall. SOLD!

Bee hive box lid

Last year, I had the whole bee hive box. This was all that remained of the other bee hive box. Wooden box with galvanized metal on bottom. This measures 22 by 18 by 3 inches tall.SOLD!

Planter, chicken feeder?

Not sure what this was used for, but could have been a planter or a chicken feeder. Seemed there were some slight chicken traces left behind! Took a picture of this from the front so the length could be seen and appreciated. It is just under 11 feet long! Five inches front to back and 4-1/2 inches tall at back which is the highest part. Has metal hanging hooks if you wanted to hang it. SOLD!

Surveyor's measuring stick

Love the graphic appeal here! Ruler is made of wood and the round plate is metal. Used by surveyor's when surveying properties. The ruler stands 61 inches tall when closed, but telescopes up much higher. SOLD!

Great old barn door

Nice iron hinges and one sliding bolt. This would be perfect for a table top or other project! This measures 34 by 50 inches.

Adorable little log cabin

Not too old, but cute! Made of twigs. Measures 11-1/2 inches wide and stands 8 inches tall.SOLD!

Primitive slicer

One of my Brimfield finds. Love the prim look of this one! I was told it came from Hungary, but no markings. This measures 18 inches long by 4-1/2 inches wide. SOLD!

Ten foot long rustic workbench

Here is the piece I had to take four other pieces out of the store to fit in. This is one massive workbench. The top is very thick slabs of lumber, and solid chunky legs too. Ten feet long by 29 inches wide and stands 33 inches to top of workbench with another 4 inches on back piece. I just love the way these display things in my store, very rustic and primitive look, plus it holds so much!

Chicken feeder on stand

I love, love, love this! We found it at Brimfield. My son had been telling me to haggle, though I do get deals in my own nice way. I never want to offend anyone! So, when I saw this, I thought I would give him a challenge. I gave him some cash and told him to go and get the best deal he could on it. He did very well and then he got rewarded by having to carry it around with us until we got back to the truck! A lesson learned! This is so cool. I have never seen one on legs before. We got a lot of inquiries about it as we were walking around. This is 47 by 21 inches and stands 28-1/2 inches tall. Galvanized feeder with wooden roosts for chicken and metal legs. SOLD!

Boxes, boxes, boxes!

Largest box is divided with a small half shelf and finger jointed sides. Measures 13-3/4 by 19 inches and 10 inches tall. Rough cut smaller box has bark on outside! This one is 10 by 12 by 5 inches tall. Small box with wooden handle is 14-1/2 by 8 and is 3-1/2 inches tall. Larger crate has square nails and tin on bottom. That one is 14 by 14 and stands 9 inches tall. Small box with handle and box with tin bottom are SOLD! Large divided box with finger joints is SOLD! All Boxes are SOLD!

Long handled dipper bucket

Galvanized dipper bucket has a wooden handle that extends 92 inches from the bucket. SOLD!

Interesting jewelry molds

I found these at Brimfield. That is one of the things I love about Brimfield, you never know what you will find. These were used for making jewelry, but I love them for their graphic appeal. Some have a hole in center so it could be hung on the wall. Two sizes, they are 9 and 10 inches in diameter. They are made of some composite material or possibly hard rubber.SOLD!

Adorable wicker doll carriage

This little carriage is so cute and in excellent condition. No breaks in wicker, and the inside is lined with a corduroy like fabric. Beautiful wooden spoked wheels with rubber intact. Measures 33 inches long by 33 inches high. Great for your dolls or teddy bear display! SOLD!

Log Cabin Antiques will be closed this Sunday for Mother's day!

Wishing everyone a happy Mother's day. We will be closed this Sunday, May 12th. Usually the kids and I go buy all the flowers for all the windowboxes and planters, and then we plant them. It's my favorite Mother's day gift because not only do I spend time with my kids, but the work gets done by everyone. This year my sister and her family are here from Oregon and we will all be together for the first time in many years on Mother's day. Hope all you moms have a fabulous day!

A couple of wooden items!

Green painted divided box measures 22 by 8 inches and is 2-1/2 inches deep. Rustic measure has no lid, but that crusty look I love. 15 inches in diameter and 7 inches tall. Measure is SOLD!box is SOLD too!
