Happy Halloween!

I put a spotlight on the store truck for trick or treat tomorrow night. It looks pretty spooky! Best of all, the light is so bright you can see it all the way out in the street, and that is about 400 feet away from the truck!

Manny Mannequin!

I walked into an auction a week or so ago and saw this manny from across the room.

It was love at first sight for me. (I'm not sure how he felt) And he's the best kind of man because he doesn't talk at all! Wire cage supports the cloth covered body. Beautiful display piece. SOLD!

Architectural railing from Exeter Inn

I was told that this railing section came from the Exeter Inn a long time ago. I have several sections and some posts by themselves, as well as some loose bannisters. Great display pieces, or for repurposing. ALL SOLD!

Fiberglass baby tub

This is an unusual fiberglass baby tub. Very lightweight, and looks like enamel ware. This is so darn cute, it almost makes me wish I had a baby to give a bath to. (not my own mind you, but maybe a grandbaby way far down the road some day in the distant future)

Corn Grinder

Great old corn grinder. The corn would go in the chute shown here and there are very sharp teeth inside which grind up the corn. I saw an episode of Pawn Stars where a guy tried to sell one of these to Rick for $300! Rick refused. He would like my price a lot better. SOLD!

Little berry tote

Primitive little tote can hold a couple of berry baskets, (2 included) or be used to hold just about anything.

Chicken feeder

This little chicken feeder is missing it's top, but as soon as I saw it, I thought it would be perfect for a little tree to fit into. It would even hold a slightly bigger tree. Very cute! Or, you could come up with a new use all your own.

Ladder for rolling barrels

Very interesting ladder was used to roll barrels onto trucks, or loading docks. Iron rungs with tapered legs to accomodate barrel. My daughter Kate took these black and white photos for me to show how the ladder would have been used. With that being said, it is currently in the store and would make a great display piece standing up against a wall. It stands just under 7 feet tall. Unique item! SOLD!

Glenwood Stove

My husband and son went to an automotive swap meet in CT. They didn't bring back one car part, but they found this beautiful Glenwood stove for me. This has been converted to propane. I just love having these in the shop to display all my kitchenware. They are so beautiful and decorative.

Twig turkey

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but it is. This little turkey is made of all natural products including twigs, pinecones and bark. Cute centerpiece that won't take up much space.

I haven't had one of these for a long time, so I was happy to discover this one. They are just beautiful with their cobalt blue porcelain washboard surface. Made by the National Washboard Co.

Gorgeous 19th century food safe

I bought this beautiful piece a few weeks ago and I have been trying to figure out how I could fit it into my shop. Finally today, I thought that I would take out the bookshelf holding all my jar candles and use this instead to display them. It is very big, 6 feet tall and 54 inches wide. There are two screen doors and an actual locking key! I think it's kind of funny that this locks since you could easily cut the screen and get into the food supply! I love it! Now it's a candle safe instead of a food safe.

Yet another plane

I sold my little red plane last weekend and was missing it, so I just had to have this one. I think they look cool hanging from a beam. I am getting as bad as my dad, the planes are getting bigger and bigger.

This was designed to be built into a wall. Nice beveled mirror on door, and two glass shelves inside. Chipped paint finish!

Large aluminum wheel

I am still in my wheel buying phase! I just can't seem to pass them up lately. This is a large aluminum wheel with a handle on one spoke. Not sure what it was used for, but it's cool.

Wood mantel

Someone just asked me if I had any mantels for sale. I didn't until now. I just picked this one up over the weekend. It just barely fit around my little heat source propane stove. It was a chilly, rainy day when I went out to take photos to update my blog, so I turned on the fire. It looks so cozy, and it was. Of course, I forgot to take measurements of the mantel. I will try to remember to update this listing when I open up on Thursday.

Repurporsed tin candleholder

Someone made this unusual little tin candleholder out of combined items. Looks like a funnel, and maybe a small tart tin, plus some imaginative embellishments.

A fun and eclectic collection of items

There is a neat little shop in Epsom, NH that I have passed by a hundred times. It always looked interesting to me, but it never seemed to be open when I was going by. On Monday I was driving home from an auction, and it was open! I don't even know if it has a name or not, but it was a cool place. Inside is her combined selling/workshop area, so she had lots of buckets of odds and ends, knobs, and gadgets. My kind of place to poke around in. I found an interesting assortment of items. I always think it's funny when people ask me if I am an artist, and I say no, I just like weird things! Upper corners are two foundry type molds. A faucet, two brass key hole plates, a neat little rusty eagle finial maybe. A spoon that the woman thought was for separating eggs, and lower left corner is some kind of angel decoration. She is made of metal and this obviously went into something else, but not sure what. Fun pickings!

Silver Leaf Lard tin

Rusty, but I like the way it has aged over the years. These look great up on top of a cupboard, or holding some collection. This is a large tin, probably 15 inches in diameter. Going by memory alone, which is not to be trusted these days!

Wooden log handle on tool tote

With it's chunky log handle, it just yelled out "Log Cabin" to me! I love the look of it!
