Beautiful horse drawn sleigh
In great condition, and pretty solid. Nice old blue gray paint is fading with age. Measures under 7 feet long and 47 inches wide at pieces used for attaching to horse. I was going to save it for a winter item, and then I thought it might look nice in the store since it has wonderful display space. Moved it in last night after we closed! SOLD!
Nine foot apple picking ladder
Hand hewn rungs and sides make a fantastic apple picking ladder. Rungs are simply pegged into sides. Stands nine feet tall. They also look great hanging on the wall or from a beam horizontally. One customer used one for a railing in her log cabin. Great idea!
SOLD!

Green wooden stool
Love the chippy paint on this green stool. It is missing one rung, but still nice and sturdy. Stands 26 inches tall. SOLD!
Magnetic pin the tail on the donkey game
Yes, it's seen better days and I wish the real horse hair magnetic tails were still with it, but I still think it's cute. I used to love to play that game at birthday parties! It didn't take much to entertain us back then!

Grant canvas cart
The first W.T. Grant 25 cents store opened in 1906, and they went out of business in 1976. This wonderful old canvas cart was used in the store, and has handles on each end. Another favorite! SOLD!
Miniature bucksaw and sawbuck
One of my favorite things from last week's auction. Smaller red sawbuck holds a bucksaw. Fantastic red paint. I took a photo with a full size bucksaw just for comparison in sizes. What a great display piece! SOLD!
Royal baking powder crate
Love these old crates with graphics. This one has wonderful dovetail joints on corners and partial paper labels on each end. SOLD!
Vintage whirlygig
I bought this older whirlygig at an auction and when I got home, I was looking for a post to put it on to display. Then I remembered I had this old cast iron piece that just happened to fit perfectly (after a few minor adjustments, of course) Now it is ready to stand in your garden or could even be used indoors as wonderful architectural art. Even in a slight breeze, the blades whirl around. With post it stands about six feet tall.
Unusual pottery head
I don't know why I am drawn to these oddities! There was just something about this piece that I liked! I can see her in a garden hiding in the foliage! Approx. 12 inches high
SOLD!
Funky tool box?
Top opens and has a clasp to close. Large handle for carrying. No idea what this might have been used for. I see flowers planted in it! Forgot to measure, but about 18 inches tall.
SOLD!
Wooden wheelbarrow
Wooden wheelbarrow in blue and cream paint with graphics on front that reads Ames Plow, Boston and New York. These look great on the lawn or in your garden! SOLD!
three box lots of assorted miniatures!
Still unpacking and itemizing! I bought three separate boxes of miniatures, including tiny books, scoops, silverware, crocks, chairs, accessories. So much fun to go through! I have one shelf lined up with some of the items, more to come out as it sells!

One photo for those that don't follow my facebook page!
Awesome Richfield gas pump. One of hubby's best picks by far! This one has lights that light up. Simply plug it in and overhead lights come on as well as interior pump lights. The gas price card reads 19 cents plus tax. Those were the days! We didn't put it into the store due to the height, but we are enjoying it in front of our garage! Some people like to restore these, but I love this look. Gives it character!
My favorite egg crate so far!
Fantastic primitive! Fletchers Egg Crate from Wilson Underhill Co. South Market St. Boston. The only unfortunate part is that the best graphics are on the back of the crate, but you can always display it with the back side showing. Inside cover has handwritten date of 1898. Gorgeous patina on this one! Measures 31 by 15 by 16-3/4 inches.SOLD!
Pretty little butter churn
No graphics on this one, but still a great look! Handle on side cranks the paddles inside to churn the butter. Measures 21-1/2 by 18 inches and stands approx. 30 inches tall. SOLD!
Industrial metal stool
Perfect for the shop or garage! Gray metal with upholstered seat and back. Stands 26 inches high to seat and 39 inches high to seat back. SOLD!
Lovely oak dresser
Beautiful detailing on this oak dresser. Two top drawers curve out and has four additional drawers below. Love the wooden embellishment on front. Dresser is 34 by 18 and stands 47 inches tall. SOLD!
Vintage nautical flag
I remember these old flags from my childhood. We always had a boat, and spent every summer on the water. This flag measures 8-1/2 by 14 inches with a rope hook and loop for hanging. These flags came with different symbols, and this one stands for In Distress! SOLD!
Very cool old dovetailed crate
Love this old crate that was extremely well built. I don't think I have seen an old crate so sturdily built. The side reads Keep Away from Others (always good advice!) and Keep Dry. We believe it may have been for dynamite due to the wording and solid construction. Measures 22 by 15 by 10-1/2 inches high. Beautiful wide dovetail joints! SOLD!
Twelve pound anvil
Useful little anvil. These come in handy in the shop or garage, or just as a display! Not too big, but weighs about twelve pounds. SOLD!

Horns-1998?-June 7, 2012
I know a lot of people love to visit the goats when they come to Log Cabin. Horns was our original goat that we adopted from the SPCA to keep our old horse Ginger company. They were good barn mates. After Ginger passed away, we bought Missy to keep Horns company, and that was how the little goat herd began. We loved old Horns, and he had a good long life, but will be dearly missed.

Quite possibly one of my favorite finds ever!
We were headed to our friend's barn sale when we passed a dirt road and a sign reading barn sale. Barry asked if I wanted to check it out, and so I turned around. This was the first thing I saw, and I fell in love instantly! So glad he suggested stopping! One sided wooden sign reads Sunnyside Restaurant and Gift Shoppe. This is a big one, measuring 48 inches tall and 40 inches wide. Just imagine this hanging in a country kitchen or dining room. SOLD! :-(
Gorgeous wooden ice box
Unusual wooden refrigeration trunk. Partial label inside reads Instructions for using your refrigerator. This has wide, wide dovetailed corners and some square nails dating it back to probably mid 1800's. Blackish green paint and inside has been covered with
wallpaper. Two handles and a little step back on top. I have never seen one like it. Measures 35 by 24 and stands 23 inches high. Very unique find! SOLD!
Giant piggy bank
Ceramic pig in brilliant red with black detailing. He is big and will hold lots of pennies! Measures 17 inches long by approx. 10 inches high. No chips or cracks and he still has his cork stopper! SOLD!
Pattern cutting board
This would come in so handy for pinning your patterns on to fabric. It has measurements along both edges. Very useful. Measures 2 yards wide by 36 inches tall. I think this would also look fantastic attached to the wall and used as a giant memo board, you could use tacks to attach your photos, ticket stubs, etc. Made of heavy cardboard.
