I believe the letters have been painted over for some reason. Traces of blue and red can be seen beneath the white lettering. This could be a fabulous repurposed sign if you are a painter, or leave as is, or try to bring out some more color in the lettering. The choice is yours. I don't think it's too old, but nice character and in good shape. This sign is approx. 6 feet wide and 9-1/2 inches tall. When I first bought this, I didn't even know it said anything. It was so covered in barn dust! Only upon cleaning it did I see the faint traces of letters. SOLD!
