The desk has legs and shelf at base that fold up and in. Not sure if this is to make this more portable or easier to store. With the drop down front open, there are little cubbies for storage. This came from a doctor's office. Cool old scale by Continental Scale Co. Had a height measure too but the arm is detached. We have the arm, not sure if it can be reattached. This has a great look to it, and stands five feet tall and 18 inches wide at widest point.

I bought the old stand with fantastic base at an auction but it came with a plastic bird cage. That just wouldn't do so I have been searching for a cage that would be more suitable. Love this rusty little cage with feeders that may be Bakelite, in a cool shade of turquoise green. There is no bottom to the cage, but together they make a really great display!
