Fantastic Brimfield primitive!

Primitive corn sheller. Love the old red paint, and the great paddle with teeth on it's backside. This measures 21 inches wide by 34 inches tall and is 22 inches front to back. The paddle is 30 inches long. Great look! SOLD!

Two log cabins!

One large old log cabin on a board, so cool! The board measures 23 inches by 15-1/2 inches. The house is slightly smaller obviously. I was told this came from an estate sale, but I bought it at Brimfield today. The smaller one came from up north and is much smaller, only 5 by 2 inches! SMALL ONE IS SOLD!

A new collection for the guy room!

I got the great mounted duck decoys at the auction on Monday. My daughter hates them, but I love them! I told her maybe they died of natural causes! In the center is a 1920's hunting print with two dogs. The proceeds of this print will go to Pet Tails Rescue. Dogs helping dogs! A few wooden carved decoys, one is new, the other a bit older. Also, another item I found this week was the tall wicker cannister. Inside is a thermos in a leather sleeve with cork intact. The wicker cannister had a leather carrying strap at one time, but time has worn it down to just a fragment. Cool look. The Lures For Sale fish decoy sign is handcarved signed, and painted by a NH artist, Tom Breen. I met him at an auction a few years ago, and tried to get him to come and whittle on my porch! He laughed, but I am still waiting for him to show up! Both mounted ducks are SOLD! and wicker thermos is SOLD!

Two things I forgot to mention.......

One is that starting this Sunday, May 6th,and every Sunday thereafter, we will open at noon instead of ten. Two more hours to search flea markets and barn sales! Two is that for the month of May we are holding a 50/50 raffle. Half will go to Pet Tails Rescue, and the other half will go to one lucky winner! I am also going to add in a few scratch tickets to sweeten the pot. Tickets are $1 each or ten for $5. Stop in and take a chance to win some cash, and help support a worthy cause!

My favorite piece of the week!

There is a sweet little lady who sells out of her garage up near the auction I go to. She knows what I like! When I pulled in Monday, she said she had a bench saved for me up by her house. I trudged up the hill and there it was! Beautiful country red with one board boot jack ends and natural wooden slats on top. This measures 39 inches long by 16-3/4 inches wide and stands 20 inches tall. $55.00 What a great sturdy bench! SOLD!

Cool tin and wooden washboard

There was something about this particular washboard that caught my eye. I like the way the tin has changed color, giving it a wonderful patina. I even found a bar of Fels Naptha soap at the grocery store. I like their vintage style wrapper!

Staves, slats, and spools!

For all my crafters, a collection of wooden parts and pieces! Long barrel staves are great for making signs, as well as the green shutter slats. My friend even thought they would be great for a birdhouse roof. She's so clever. I had a box of these old wooden bobbins a month or so ago, and sold them all. Here is a new supply!
