This is a great piece! Number 15 is marked on the side. Two handles for carrying and a lid that comes off. Would make a wonderful storage spot. Measures 24 by 15 by 18 inches tall.

Rabbit stew anyone? Primitive rabbit trap

I love the look of this old rabbit trap. It has a peg inside where you would attach the bait (a carrot?) and then you would prop it open and with an attached string (no longer attached) you would pull the top down once your unsuspecting prey was inside! I remember as a kid doing this and trying to catch birds with an old cage. Good thing they were too smart to fall for my tricks! Measures 13-1/2 inches by 10 inches and the box itself is 8 inches tall.

This week's Pet Tails Rescue donated item

My dear friends Arlene and Ted come up from Connecticut occasionally to visit and shop. They donated this adorable Salmon Falls crock with two angel bears in blue. Marked Salmon Falls Pottery, Dover, NH on back. It is 5 inches high, so maybe a one quart crock? All proceeds go to Pet Tails Rescue. Thank you Arlene and Ted for your thoughtfulness!

You are either going to love him, or hate him!

Everyone in the family thinks he's a little scary, but I can appreciate all the work that went into making him. All handcrafted of wood and cloth, this marionette is quite heavy. You would get a good workout just manipulating the strings, as he weighs about ten pounds. He is approx 26 inches in height, so bigger than most puppets you see. I know the rest of the family will be happy when he is out of the house and into the store! SOLD!

Wooden windmill for your garden

We seem to have a windmill theme going on this week! We also bought a bicycle with windmill on the chain guard (as seen in background Then when I carried these over to the front of the store, there were some wooden tulips from Leo! The windmill itself measures 29 inches tall but the blades extend a bit taller to about 3-1/2 feet high. Approx. 19 inches wide. SOLD!

Lovely Boston Pillowback chair for Pet Tails Rescue!

You may remember the cute little milk stool from last week that my friends Cindy and George Short donated for Pet Tails Rescue. I mentioned there was also a pillowback chair. The little milk stool sold within minutes of posting. Here is the beautiful chair so generously donated, with all proceeds going to Pet Tails Rescue. Vintage Toy wheelbarrow

Tiny little wheelbarrow, great on your porch with some summer flowers. Only 22 inches long by 9 inches wide and 7 inches tall. SOLD!

Wooden egg crate

I gave just a glimpse of this on Sunday in the pile I purchased that morning. Wanted to show a bit more of the details. Love the graphics on both sides that read Queen City Egg Case, holds 30 dozen. Dunning Co. Bangor Maine. Nice storage inside, would make a great little coffee table. 27-1/2 inches by 13 inches and stands 15 inches tall. SOLD!

Leatherworking vise?

Great little primitive tool. It seems to be some type of vise, maybe for shoemaking or some other kind of leatherwork. Nice and small so if you don't have a lot of room left to display things (like me!) this is just what you need! 19-1/2 inches tall and only 18 by 5 inches. SOLD!

Perfection Oil Heater, now a light!

Such an adorable little stove! Someone converted this Perfection oil heater into a light. It has a pretty glow through the metalwork. Stands 24 inches tall. SOLD!

Cool vintage bike with windmill on chain guard

They called this a Danish bicycle when we bought it. It has the name Fiets Inn in three different places. When I researched that, it came up as a bicycle rental company in Holland. So, there doesn't appear to be any manufacturing information on the bike. I love the colors though, and we have a couple of old bicycle baskets for sale too. Fill the baskets with flowers and hang them on the bike and you have a great garden piece!
